Good Ol' Days (6/07/03)

For the fifth consecutive year, Pond Monkeys performed as headliners of the Fort Scott Good Ol' Days Teen Dance in downtown Ft. Scott.  The boys played to a mixed crowd of friends, grandparents, distant relatives, and whoever walked by within earshot.

The band tore through 33 songs in nearly 2 1/2 hours.  Covering such classics as Warren Zevon's "Werewolves In London", "Sweet Home Alabama", Pink's "Don't Let Me Get Me", and a Sugar Ray/All-American Rejects medley, among other covers, the 'Monks mixed in old and new originals.  "Senseless", "Plane Crash", "Needs", and even "Happy" were included in the set.  Some of the best crowd response came from Derek's intense performance of "Friends."
